    By / January 30, 2020 / Fishing

Ordered on a whim from Amazon… Maximum Catch 10ft 2wt fly rod. Planned to mount the Orvis Hydros 2wt fly reel on it and use it in place of the TFO 9ft 6wt with the Echo Ion Reel just for fun…LOL. It’s a long rod at 10 feet, liking the blue finish, and wood reel… [read more]

  • Two Weight Keeps Doing Well

    By / June 17, 2016 / Fishing

Was able to get a round of fishing in today. No Bruisers but had lots of fun catching them using the two weight fiberglass rod. Quick trip this evening to Glendover Park. Had not fished it in a while. Used to catch Catfish here but not certain if they are still there… did get a Bluegill and three Bass. No Bruisers but they all put up a great fight on the 2-Weight Fiberglass Rod!

Made a run down the road to Bethany Lakes this evening. Really nice day with warmer temps compared to the past weekend. Could not let the day end without wetting a line. Used the Two Weight Fly Rod and fished a Tenkara Midge, GRHEN, and Griffith’s Gnat to hook up with some little Bluegill… [read more]
